NJ JPA Events Portfolio
Our portfolio of events we host or support in our community. Many events are funded directly by NJ JPA or are in collaboartion with third-party partner organizations.
For business inquiries regarding supporting or sponsoring an event, reach out to us via email at njjigsaw@gmail.com. We have worked with various business relationships from taking direct sponsorships, collaborating with profit-sharing models, or sharing venue spaces. Whatever your business model is, we are excited to collaborate in any way we can.
Speed Puzzling Competitions
Speed Puzzling is the new sport sweeping the state! Competitors all receive the same puzzle and work to complete it as fast as possible. First to finish wins!
The most popular formats see participants competing as individuals, in pairs, or in teams of 4, but we also experiment with other formats too.
We also travel to and support our state members in regional and national competitions such as the USA JPA Speed Puzzling Nationals event.
Casual Puzzling
For the ones who don’t want the stress of competition or just want to hang out with their friends or community. We host casual puzzling events where people can come and go as they please, puzzle with their friends or family, or jump in to a large project with a group.
There are no rules here! This is a chance for people to meet their community members and support a local business or library.
Puzzle Swaps
Nearly every NJ JPA event comes with a puzzle swap!
We host a table where people are free to leave any of their puzzles they no longer want, and then to take puzzles from the pile that interest them.
NJ JPA also seeds our own puzzles into puzzle swaps to try and make sure there are plenty of puzzles to go around.
Traveling Puzzles
Traveling Puzzles are our way of letting the community try out rare, popular, or past competition puzzles without needing to buy them all yourself.
Traveling puzzles get shipped from person to person over the course of a year so everyone gets to try it in their own home on their own schedule.
We have an entire page dedicated to our traveling puzzle program here where we show off our puzzles and have signups for future programs.
Super Saturday Mini Tournament
Super Saturday Mini Tournaments are an event that we host in affiliation with speedpuzzling.com. These events consist of multiple competition formats across the entire day, but in smaller puzzle sizes, making it a “mini” tournament that is more casual friendly.
These events are hosted across the country in dozens of venues, so competitors get to rank nationally in addition to competing for local prizes.
Giant Puzzles
Have you ever seen those massive 5,000 piece (or more) puzzles and wonder who does those? That’s where these events come in.
We gather as many people as possible to work on one giant puzzle together. Tackling projects like this takes a lot of coordination and organization, and is a great way to bond with our community members.
